Good question. While web design used to be my hobby, it's now my job, and like most jobs (plumbing, accountancy, taxidermy) when you spend all day doing it, often the last thing you want to do when you get home is to keep doing it.
So rather than try and tackle this website in one huge lump, I am doing it in stages. You're looking at the first stage, the initial coding and content. This lets me have something online without having to go through weeks of "look and feel" design first. Over time, as more elements of this site are completed, they will be brought online, and this site should look more and more like a site designed by a professional web designer.
What do you want done? In my five years of professional work, I have constructed entire websites from scratch, built countless web banners and email templates, edited web video content and managed websites that became the top in their field.
What I do is I do good work. Work which satisfies extremely high expectations (my own). If you'd like good work, please email me, otherwise I might not be what you're looking for.
Another good question. My name is Jared Isle, and I am an Auckland-based interactive designer. I have been doing web work professionally since returning to New Zealand in 2001. I have a Diploma of Merit in Digital Design from Media Design School. I have done work for such companies as TVNZ, Vodafone, Telecom, Fonterra, NZ Lotteries and Westpac. Some very smart people have left me responsible in giving their companies a wider, stronger online presence. My CV has more details, and a portfolio is coming ... eventually.
Obviously this site is not getting a lot of love. Since I already have a job. So to save you disappointment, look at the kitty.
